From census records, it does not appear that any children were born during the marriage of Samuel S. Revis and Lucinda Dowell. Lucinda appears to have died sometime prior to 1888 for in May of that year Samuel married Mary Ann Earp.

Prior generations of this family had used the spelling Reavis for their surname but that appears to have changed at this generation. Most available records for Samuel Smith Reavis/Revis list the surname as Revis.
