Albert Rives, 82, Dies; Supervised GE Warehouse
Albert H. Rives, 82, who retired in 1947 as supervisor of the General Electric warehouse on Glenn street, SW, died Monday night in a private hospital.
Mr. Rives, of 760 Woodland Ave., SE, was associated with General Electric 42 1/2 years.
Born in Hall County, he had lived here most of his life. He was for many years chairman of the board of deacons of Central Baptist Church, and later served as a deacon of Moreland Baptist Church.
A daughter, Mrs. Thomas Hugh Moreton, is an Interdenominational missionary and helps operate an orphanage in Toyko, Japan.
Other survivors include another daughter, Mrs. D. Thomas Robinson, Atlanta, and a son, Stephen R. Rives, a national marketing manager for GE in Philadelphia.
