George Hubert Rives studied pharmacy for a time in Portsmouth, Virginia, and was later a registered pharmacist in Norfolk. He is now the owner and promoter, as well as patentee, of the Rives' automobile pedal pads which are manufactured by the George H. Rives Manufacturing Company, of 241-243 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, New York, and 1464 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Rives married, 1st, Mattie May Sargent, of Brandon, Vermont; and, 2nd, Anne Twyford.
Listed on the 1900 census as a salesman.

Research Notes
Although Reliques mentions two marriages, there appears to be an earlier one from Illinois Childs was not aware of. He lists the son George Andrew Rives. But this is a son of his first marriage which Childs did not list. His first wife and son are listed in the Phinney household in Winnebago, Illinois in 1910 listed as daughter and grandson.Sources
