From Reliques of the Rives:
On May 1, 1775, he patented for twenty shillings 181 acres of land in Brunswick county, Va., "touching his own land" which must, therefore, have been on the Prince George-Brunswick county line. On Oct. 13, 1789, the record of the administration of his estate was presented to the Prince George county court.

Reliques includes the account information from the estate which names Mary Rives as widow and Ann Rives as orphan of the deceased.
