Children of Sarah Rives and William Robinson:

  4. Elizabeth Robinson
The only children named in the 1821 will of William Robinson were William Crith Robinson, Daniel H. Robinson and John A. Robinson with the addition of grandson William Wright Robinson, son of John A. The will contains no mention of any daughters but does name William Robinson's wife Sarah. An 1829 deed by Sarah Rives Robinson establishes that she had at least one daughter, Elizabeth, who is named in that deed recorded in Greensville County in Deed Book 6, page 412, where she stipulates that Elizabeth is her daughter.

Research Notes

When Sarah married William Robinson, the marriage bond was signed by William Robinson and her brother Benjamin Rives, Jr. The family connection to this particular Sarah Rives is further confirmed in that a witness signing Sarah's statement to indemnify the marriage was Isham Lundy, the son-in-law of Sarah's brother Benjamin Rives, Jr.
