In the 1790 census of Richland County SC, William Rives is the head of a household that contains only himself.
On 19 Oct 1804, Green Rives and James Adams were appointed to administrate William's estate including an inventory. Sale of the estate was dated 28 Dec 1804.
On 27 Jun 1815, James Adam, the administrator of William Rives petitioned for a distribution of the estate. He stated that William died about 1804, intestate, and left children William H Reaves, John Green Reaves, Elizabeth Harrison and Silas Jesse Reaves his only heirs. Another petition filed the same day gives Elizabeth's middle name as Rachael. It also states that John Green Rives was about 20.
The will of Lucy Parker from 1819 also mentions "my four grandchildren, William Henry Rives, John Green Rives, Elizabeth Rachel Harrison and Silas Jesse Rives."
Research Notes
Reliques lists a daughter named Amelia, but no daughter by that name is mentioned in Adam's petition.Son Silas may be the Silas J. Rieves who married in Autauga County, Alabama and was in the military there.
