RYVES George Frederick. Effects under £8,000. 6 August. The Will of George Frederick Ryves formerly of Shroton near Blandford but late of Berkeley Lodge in the Parish of Bryanston both in the County of Dorset Rear Admiral R. N. and C. B. deceased who died 2 July 1858 at Bryanston aforesaid was proved at Blandford by the oaths of Thomas Bowyer Bower of Iwerne Minster in the said County Esquire Henry Ker Symer of Hanford in the said County M.P. and Charity Ryves of Berkeley Lodge aforesaid Widow the Relict the Executors.

George, born 25 September 1792, entered the Royal Navy, rose to the rank of Rear Admiral and was made a Commander of the Bath; died July 1858 and was buried at Ewerne Courtney. He married Charity, third daughter of Thomas Theobald of Gray's, co. Essex. And thus endeth what is known of the eldest male line of Ryves of Randleston.
