Happy New Year

Here's wish you a Happy and Healthy 2011 and hoping that our Wiki will help to knock down a few genealogy brick walls during the course of the year.

Wiki Stats - End December 2011 2010

The total number of pages in the Wiki (as at 1 Jan 2011) has grown to 2439 (previously 2144, 1683, 1457), a increase of 295 pages. Of these 859 pages (was 817, 577, 520) begin with the letter R and are probably related to a R*v*s individual and 244 pages (213, 197, 192) begin with a number, so are probably a date related gleaning.

The Wiki has grown steadily over the past six months, with the exception of September, when our technical outage from mid September to mid October slowed growth.

New Year's Resolutions

I'm sure some of us have a long list of Resolutions already and don't really need more suggestions. None the less, I'm going to offer one more.
It's really easy and once made won't be easily broken as the Wiki should remember the setting for you. When you are editing Wiki Pages please make sure you are in the non tabbed view. If the button says "NO TABS" you need to click it, if it says "TAB VIEW" you're already set and should leave it alone. This way you are more likely to see the Freetags and Description fields (which are otherwise hidden on the Properties Tab) and remember to complete them.

And you'll be in good shape when we re-launch Categories later this month.
