Wiki Stats - End September 2015

The total number of pages in the Wiki (as at 1 October 2015) now stands at 6450 (previously 6444, 6440, 6418), an increase of just 6 pages during the past month.     Of these 1280 pages (was 1280, 1280, 1278) begin with number and are most probably a date related gleaning.     We currently have 2650 wiki pages categorised as "People", of which 2234 begin with the letter "R".

TRP Users

We ended September 2015 with 230 user accounts registered with TRP, with three new members successfully activating their account during the month. We welcome Belinda, Thomas and Lynn and look forward to their contributions to TRP. Belinda is off to a good start, having already added her AboutMe page.

Two More Milestones

On the 26th September, TRP reached another milestone. It was 2000 days since Barry Reeves first started up the wiki software which now underpins of The Reeves Project.

More significantly, a couple of days, later probably in the small hours of 28 September, we served up our sixth millionth wiki page to a visitor to TRP. Yes, that’s 6,000,000 impressions of the pages you and I have helped to create have been requested. There are in excess of 5500 page requests made on TRP every day and the demand grows daily.

If you’ve yet to contribute information about your Reeves ancestors, you’re missing out on potentially making contact with new Reeves cousins who may be able to help you with new information. Your mentor’s will be happy to help you get started. We’re getting close to having 6500 wiki pages - will you be the person to contribute the 6500th? There is no prize; just the kudos of a mention here on the following month's Latest News page.
