Wiki Stats - End September 2016

The total number of pages in the Wiki (as at 1 October 2016) now stands at 6735 (previously 6734, 6732, 6712) an increase of just 1 page during the month.     Of these 1319 pages (was 1319, 1319, 1316) begin with a number and are most probably a date related gleaning.     We currently have 2789 wiki pages categorised as "People", of which 2364 begin with the letter "R".

Whilst we may have added only one new page during the month, many pages have been updated.

TRP Users

We ended August with 253 user accounts registered in TRP, the same as the previous month. Whilst we have had four people complete our "Join Us" form, none of them have yet completed the second part of the registration process.

TRP and WebRoot

WebRoot offers features which aim to provide web reputation and content classification ratings of websites, based on technology they acquired from BrightCloud1 . It recently came to our attention that WebRoot had assigned TRP a Web Reputation Index of 50 and a Status of Moderate Risk. Since then we've submitted a form to WebRoot with basic information about TRP. Based on that submission, they have now revised our Reputation Index to 81 and our Status to Trustworthy.

We encountered a similar circumstance with McAfee Site Advisor which we discussed in July 2015. Now whilst I'd prefer to be doing genealogy research, if any community member encounters similar issues, please do let us know either via your Mentor Team's Talk Page or via e-mail and we will investigate. Prospective community members are also welcome to detail such concerns in the "Addition Information" section of our "Join Us" form when they apply for membership.

Reeves DNA Project Update

During September the Reeves DNA Project has enrolled four new members. We welcome Debi, Jane, Lewis and Reese. There have been results from two new Family Finder test kits notified during September.
