Another probable child of William & Rachel Reeves is:
  1. Martha Ann Reeves, b. 1829, m. Henry Bolinger on 7 Dec 1848 in Cape Girardeau
Sometime after 1820, the children of Samuel Reeves who had migrated along with his brother William from Charles County, Maryland to Rowan County, North Carolina around 1795 and died there in 1801, disappeared from the records of Rowan County. During the years before 1820, there were numerous deeds executed among the heirs of Samuel Reeves selling property inherited from his estate, but after 1820 they no longer appear in either the deed records or census.

The 1830 census of St. Francois County, Missouri which is just southeast of the city of St. Louis list a Bennet A. Reaves along with a William Reaves living there. By 1840, they are both listed in the census of Cape Girardeau County with is only a short distance from St. Francois County.

According to the 1830 and 1840 census, William and Rachael Reeves had at least 6 children - 3 boys and 3 girls.
