The Alumni Cantabrigienses (Cambridge Alumni) includes the following about him:
REVE, ROBERT. Adm. pens, (age 18) at Caius, Oct. 29, 1575. Of Bures, Suffolk. 2nd s. of William, of Monewdon Park, Suffolk. Schools, Ipswich and Botesdale. Matric. 1575. Ord. deacon (London) Dec. 21, 1580. V. of Gt Hormead, Herts., 1584-1610. R. of Wrestlingworth, Beds., 1594. Brother of Charles (1589) and Thomas (1575) (Venn, i. 83; Vis. of Essex, 1634.)

Robert is mentioned in the will of his brother Thomas Reve. The will also mentions "Robert Reve the sonne of Robert Reve my brother." The will of his brother Francis makes reference to "my nephew Robert Reeve" who is presumable Robert's son Robert.

The Visitations of Essex by Raven in 1612 and by Owen and Lilly in 1634 both list a chart of the Reve family. This information was probably gathered from Robert's brother Francis Reeve as he was the primary resident of Essex from this family which the chart focuses on. The chart shows the following on George:
  • (1612) Robart Reve of Hormed parva in com. Hartford, Clerke (married) daughter to Russtall
  • (1634) Robert Reve parson of Wrestlingworth in com. Bedford (married) d. of Rushtall (? Rushall)

Both visitations records state that Robert had children Robert and Rose who was married to the Stockdalle Auditor to the Erle of Northumberland. Son Robert was of Romford, Essex in 1634.
