In the name of God Amen the ixth day of August in the xxviiith yere of the raigne of or sovraigne Ladie Elizabeth by the grace of God Queene of England Frannce and Ireland defendr of the faith &c I Thomas Reve of Blackmore in the county of Essex carpenter being sicke in bodie but of pfect remembrance thanks be unto God do make and ordayne this my last will or testament in manner and forme following that is to say
First I comit my soule into the hands of Almightie God my maker redeemer and savior and my bodie to be buryed in the church yarde of Blackemore aforesayd Then I gyve and bequeath unto Christian my wyfe my house and all my landes lying bothe in Blackmore & n the pish of Fryering for the terme of her life paying xxth a yere I will that my brother yonger John Reve receyve the sayd xxth ? at the feast of St Michaell tharkangell to the use and behoofe of Willm my sonne for the payment of ?. And after the decease of my wife I gyve the sayd house and all the lands to Thomas my sonne
Itm I gyve unto Mary my Daughter the bedd in the parlor with all that belogeth unto it
Itm I gyve unto Johane my daughter a cubbord standing in the parlor
Itm I gyve unto Dorytis my daughter the Cubbord in the hall the ? ?
Itm I gyve unto Faith my daughter a chest in the parlor and in? ?
Itm I will that my wife have the use of all those moveable goods for the tearme of her lyfe keping her selfe a widdowe if she marris I will that all these goods be distributed at the daye of her marryage according to my will
Itm I will that Willm my sonne have xth to be payed him at the age of xxiiii? by the hande Thomas my sonne
Itm I gyve unto my sfoure daughters fyve pounde a peece to be payed within four? yeres next after the discease of my wife the rest of my goods unbequethed my debt payed and my funerall expences pformed I gyve unto Christian my wife and Thomas my sonne whom I make my executor
I ordayne John Peshey on the ? ende to be overseer of this my will and testament and I gyve unto him for his paynes taking therein iiii
