In dei nomine Amen the xiiiith daie of Septembre Anno Dm 1596 I John Reve of Blackmore in the countie of Essex mercer being sicke in bodie but yet of good and pfecte remembrance thanks be to God, doe make and ordeyne this my psent testament conteyning herein my last will in such manner or forme as followeth:
First I bequeath my soule into the handes of almightie God my maker and Redeemer and my body to be buryed in the Christyan buryall where it shall please God and as touching my worldely goodes,
Itm I gyve and bequeath to John my sonne all my shopp bookes
Itm I gyve ad bequeath to Mary my daughter the some of xxth of lawfull english money to be payed to her by myne executor hereafter named when she shall accomplish the full age of xxiiith yeares
Itm I gyve and bequeath to Margery my daughter the some of ? xiii ? of lawfull english money to be payed to her by myne executors when she also shall accomplish the full age of xxiiith yeares the rest of all my goodes not gyven or bequeathed I gyve and bequeath to Mary my wief whom I make my sole executrix to see my debts payed my funerals discharged and my will fulfilled and I desyre John Symon the younger and Wm Reve thelder to be overseers to this my said will.
In witness whereof I the said John Reve to this my prsent testament or last will have put my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written
