Transcript

In the name of God Amen the nynth day of February 1649 I Josua Reive of the parish of Neatswell in the County of Essex yeoman doe make and ordaine this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following First I give and bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty god my creator and my body to the earth from whence it came. And as for my temporall goods which it hath pleased god to give me the ....I dispose of them as followth. Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Bridget three pounds which is in the hands and possession of John Grayling of Neatswell Item I give and bequeath more unto my daughter Bridgett all the goods now in my house which are mine. Item I give more to my sonn Jerimie the salting trough. Item I give and bequeath unto my wife Joane the lease which I have taken of her sonn John Saybanke. Item I give more unto my wife my cow and calfe and hay to keeper her till May day. Item I give more unto her nyne sheep. Item all the rest of my goods unbequeathed I doe give unto my two sonnes Thomas and Jeremie Reive to pay my debts and legacies and to se my body decently laid in the ground And I doe make my two sonnes Thomas Reive and Jeremie Reive joyntly executors of this my last will and testament, revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare above written
