Know all men by these presents that I John Reeves of Salem in New England planter, for a valuable consideration to me in hand pd have bargained sold assigned & sett over unto Tho Puttnam & Nath Putnam both of Salem aforesd, farmers, twenty acres of upland together with three acres of meddow be it more or less, lying & being sittuat within the township of Salem aforesd, that is to say, the upland lying on the south side of the river, comonly caled Ipswitch rover, bordering on the north and thereof up the sd river & on ye east adjoyning to the land of Giles Cone of Salme aforesds now in the possession of Tho & Nath. Putnam, on the west being bounded with the land of Mr. George Corwin of Salem merchant, & on the south with the lando f the said Nath. Putnam the meddow lying on the north side of the aforesd river, next unto the meddow of Mr. Philli Cromwell of Salme now also in the possession of ye sd Tho & Nath Putnam to have & to hold the sd upland & meddow with the appurtenances thereunto belonging, unto the sd Tho & Nath Putnam, their heirs & assigns forever, of all which aforesd bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereunto belonging I John Reeves doe hereby pmise to defend & mayntaine the right and title, agst any pson or psons whatsoever laying clayme thereto, from by or under me, & hereto I bynd me mine heirs executors & administrators, by these prsents In witnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hand & seal this 7th day of 12th mo 58.
