In the Name of God Amen the three and twentith day of September in the yeare of our Lord God 1673 And in the yeare of the Reigne of our Soraigne Lord Kinge Charles the second of England &c the first and twentith I Stephen Reeve of Feeringe in the County of Essex yeoman Beinge sicke and weake in Body But in good and sound memory God be praised doe make and ordaine this my last will & Testament in manner and forme followinge
First and principally I bequeath my soule into the hand of Almighty God trustinge in the allone merritts of my ever blessed Saviour to receive a joyfull resurection amongst the just, And my Body I comitt to ye earth decently to be buryed in Christian Buriall and for that ?allent of worldly goods which God of his goodness hath betrusted me with I dispose thereof as followeth
Imprimis I give and bequeath unto Whinefreed my lovinge wife my freehould messuage or tenement called Ollivers or howsoevr otherwise called with the land thereunto belonging and all other apptenances for and duringe the time and terme of her naturall life she keepinge the same in good repaire uppon ondicon that my said wife doe and shall uppon request made unto her by my sonn John renounce and release all her interest and right in (one other messuage or tenement unto me belonginge) unto my said sonne John and to his heires and assignes for ever which said messuage is situate in Halsteed in ye said County
Item I give and bequeath unto my said wife five pounds yearly to be paid by my executr hereafter named Quarterly by uquall porcons duringe the terme of her naturall life
Also I give unto my said wife all my houshould goods of what nature and kinde soever (except the joyned bed stedle? with the fether Bed bolster and all other things theretoe belonginge as it now is and ? ?. And also excepted the table nd all other goods in the parlour ou? and beside ye Bedd there and what belonges thereto to be for her use and at her dispose
Item I give and bequeath unto my sonn John the aforesaid messuage called chids? with the land thereto belonginge unto him and to his heires forever from and after my said wives decease, and allso I give to my said sonne my other tenement with the appurtenances being in Halstede aforesaid to him and to his heires for ever to have and enjoy imediately after my decease
Item I give unto my daughgter Whinethreede halfe crowne peere in silver
Item I give unto Margaret my daughter one other halfe crowne peere in silver
Item I give unto Anne my daughter one other halfe crowne peere in silver which said sevall sums I will shalbe paid respectively within three months after my decease
Item I give unto my daughter Mary the sum of twelve ounds of lawful money of England within twoe yeares after my decease
Item I give unto my daughter Frances the sum of tenn pounds to be paid her within one yere after my decease
Item I give unto my daughter Sarah tenn pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid her within three yere after my decease
All the residue of my goods corne cattle and houshould stuffe not hereby formerly given, I give and bequeath unto my lovinge sonn John Reeve whom I doe nominate and appoynt to bee my sole executor faithfull and trury to pay my debts legasies and funerall charges
