In the Name of God Amen I Dame Joyce Ryves widdow Relict of Sir Richard Ryves late of the City of London knight and Alderman deceased being in good health of bodie, and of sound and perfect mynd and memorie, thankes be given unto Almighty God, doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following, (that is to say)First I commend my soul into the hands of Almightie God; my bodie I committ to the Earth, to be privately with decency interred in the Parishe church of Yeatley in Hampshire so neare as possible to my deare husband Sir Richard Ryves deceased in such maner as my executor hereafter named shall think fit; And as touching the disposition of such estate as it hath pleased Almightie God to blesse mee with I give and bequeath the same in maner and forme following, (that is to say)
First I give and bequeath unto my deare Mother Mrs Anne Lee the sume of tenn Pounds;
Item I give unto my sister Mrs Westcomb the summe of one hundred Pounds;
Item I give unto my sister Mrs Margaret Warren the summe of tenn Pounds;
Item I give unto my neece Anne Drake the summe of one hundred pounds;
Item I give unto my cousin John Drake the summe of one hundred pounds;
Item I give unto my cousin Joyce Westcomb the sume of one hundred Pounds;
Item I give unto my cousin Elizabeth Westcomb the summe of fifty pounds;
Item I give unto my cousin Margaret Westcomb the summe of fifty pounds;
Item I give unto my cousin Clement Westcomb the summe of fifty pounds;
Item I give unto my cousin Richard Westcomb the summe of fiftie pounds;
Item I give unto my cousin Joseph Staneley the summe of two hundred pounds;
Item I give unto my cousin Richard Staneley the summe of two hundred pounds;
Item I give unto my cousin Charles Staneley the summe of one hundred pounds;
Item I give unto my cousin Katherine Bright the summe of one hundred pounds;
Item I give unto my cousin Bridget Bowcher the summe of one hundred pounds;

Item I give unto my servant Anne Solman the summe of fourty pounds;
Item I give unto Anne Solman's sonn Peter the sume pounds;
Item I give unto Joyce Wallis my mother's mayd the summe of tenn pounds;
Item I give unto Philip Warren the summe of tenn pounds;
Item I give unto John Sewell my godsonn the summe of five pounds;
Item I give unto Legg that was my servant the summe of fourty shillings;
Item I give unto the poore of the parish of Yeatley in Hampshire (to be distribted by the discretion of my executor) the summe of five pounds;
Item I give unto my cousin William Salmon the sume of thirtie pounds;
Item I give unto Mr Edward Periam the sume of thirty pounds;
All the rest of my Goods and Chatells not herein or hereby given or bequeathed I give and bequeathed unto my sister Staneley's children equally to be divided among them;
And I doe hereby nominate desire and appoint my said Cousin Mr William Salmon and Mr Edward Periam to be executors of this my last Will and Testament in witnesse whereof I have set my hand and seale to this my Will this thirtieth day of October in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred seventie and six.

This will conteyning two sheets was signed sealed and declared to be the testatrix last will and Testament in the Presence of Humph Bradshaw John Carr John Middleton Christopher Davenport
I doe give to Anne Solman my servant the Goods in a Paper dated in August last to which the witnesses to this my will are witnesses Humph Bradshaw John Carr John Middleton Christopher Davenport
I doe give to my good servant Mrs Anne Solman when I dye thus: the Bedd I lye on, the Boulster and two Pillows three Blankets, the calico quilt, and the redd Rugg, the chest of Drawers that stands in my Chamber and the Box that held Spice, and the Box that held thred and my still my Bellowes, the warming pann, the close stoole and cann to it, the smooting? jzon heaters to it, the skreene, and earthenware, my red trunck, the table and all my cloathes: this was write by mee in August one thousand six hundred seven six. My curteins & palleins and all that belongs to the Red Bedd, my picture and two peeces of old hanging that lyeth in the Garret

And I will give when I dye my Bible with the fine pictures in it to my good servant Nan Solman, and my herball and a silver tankard, and a silver.
