This Indenture made the sixth day of August in the eighth year of the Dominion of the right Honourable Charles and in the year of our Lord god One Thousand six hunred Eighty and three Between Richard Adams of Cecil County planter and Catherine his wife of the one part and Edward Reeves of Baltimore County planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said Richard Adams and Catherine his wife for divers good causes and considerations them thereunto moving have given granted Bargained aliened sold and confirmed and do for themselves their heirs &c &c ? give grant bargain alien sell and confirm unto the said Edward Reeves his heirs and assigns oone certain mossuage? and tract of land called Phils Choyce situate lying and being in Bush River in Baltimore County aforesaid and containing by estimation one hundred acres of land be it more or less being Butted and bounded as followeth Begining at a marked Red oake standing in a wall and running cross the said neck and bounding with the said River by a line Draine north east for the length of fifty porches unto a marked Water Oake Thence by a line Drean from the said Water Oake and runing south east for the length of three hundred and Twenty perches thence by a line Drawn from the said south east line and Runing south west for the length of fifty perches thence by a line Drawn from the end of the South line and Runing north west for the Length of three Hundred and Thirty perches unto the first marked Red Oake containing and now laid out for one hundred acres more or less fifty acres of the said one hundred acres of land was by the said Richard Adams and Catherine his wife granted Bargained and sold unto Henrietta Robinson the Relict of William Robinson Copartner in the said one hundred acres of land which the said Richard Adams in the purchase of the said land by a certaine deed of sale from the said Richard and Catherine his wife and bearing Date the seaventh Day of November in the year of our lord God one Thousand six Hundred seaventy and one and in the nine and Thirtieth year of the Dominion of Cecilius Absolute Lord and Prptry of the province of Maryland and Avalon &c as Relation to the said Deed of sale being had more at large it appeareth now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Richard Adams and Catherine his wife for Divers Good Causes and considerations them hereunto moving the said fifty acres of Land so made over unto the said Henrietta Robinson as aforesaid and the other fifty acres of the said survey due to the said Richard in right of surveyorship and copartnership as aforesaid in the whole the said one hundred acres of land aforesaid according to the bounds aforesaid the said Richard and Catherine as aforesaid have given granted Bargained Aliened Enfeoffed sold and Confirmed and do by these presents for themselves their heirs exrs and admrs and for every of them give grant Bargaine alien enfeoff sell and confirme unto the said Edward Reeves now husband To the said Henrietta the said one hundred acres of land To have and to hold the said Tract of land with every part and parcell thereof with the appurtenances to him the said Edward Reeves his heirs and assignes forever and to the only proper use and behoofe of the said Edward his heirs and assigns forever And the said Richard Adams and Catherine his wife for themselves their heirs Exrs Admrs and assignes and for every of them do covenant promise and grant to and with the said Edward Reeves his heirs Exrs Admrs and assignes and to and with every of them by these presents in manner following That is to say that they the said Richard and Catherine the said one hundred acres of land with the appurtenances and every part and parcell thereof Together with all houses edifices buildings orchards gardens woods underwoods trees timber trees and other hereditaments whatsoever thereunto & Belonging or in anywise appertaining unto the said Edward Reeves his heirs and assigns from the said Richard and Catherine his wife their heirs Exrs and Admrs From all other person or persons whatsoever lawfully claiming or which may pretend lawfully to claime from by or under him them or any of them or by his or their meanes act privity consent or procurement shall and will warrant and forever defend and That the said tract of one hundred acres of land free and clear from all fines ? Forfetures ? mortgages judgments executions rents arra? of rents sowrys and titles of Dower and all other Incumbrances whtsoever also that the said Richard and Catherine his wife before the ensealing and Delivery of these presents was lawfully seized and intrested in and to the said land in a pure cler and Indefeasable estate of Inheritance in fee simple and had good Right full power and lawfull auuthorie to sell and Dispose of the same and lastly it is covenanted and agreed by the said Richard and Catherine his wife their heirs Ex Etc and Admrs and Every of them that the said Edward Reeves his heris and assigns forever shall and may from and after the ensealing and Delivery of these presents peaceably and quietly have hold accupy possess and enjoy the said one hundred acres of land and every part and parcell thereof according to the true intent and meaning of these presents without any manner of suits trouble eviction disturbance interruption or mollestation whatsoever and that the said Richard Adams and Catherine their heirs Exrs and Assg shall and will from time to time and at all times hereafter for the space of seven years next ensueing the date of these presents do make acknowledge execute and suffer all and every further act or acts thing or things deed or deeds devise or devises in the law whatsoever for the further and better assurance and sure making of the premises and upon Reasonable notice or summons Given and at the last and charges in the law of hi the said Edward Reeves his heirs and assigns as the said Edward his heirs and assigns or by the Courses & Learned in the Law of the said Edward hs heirs and Assigns shall Reasonably be advised Devised or required.In witness whereof the said Richard Adams and Catherine his wife have hereunto set their hands and seales the Day and year first above written

Memorandum the 6th Day of August 1683 came Richard Adams and Catherine his wife and Acknowledged the within written Deed to be their free and Volluntary act unto the within named Edward Reeves his heirs and Assigns forever before us Justices of the County of Baltimore Cot George Wells and Capt Henry Johnson Signed Order Thomas Hedge Clerk Balt County
The same day also came Catherine the wife of the said Richard Adams and Gave her free and Volluntary consent to the sale of the said Land within named without any threatt fear or compulson of her husband wittness our hands the Day and year above said
