By this publick instrument of proturation? or letter of attorney Be it known & manifest unto all people that on the two & twentieth day of Aprill In ye fourth yeare of the reigne of William & Marry King & Queene of England & Anno Dom 1692 Before me Prten Paul notary & ?abellion publick legally admitted & sworne dwelling in London & in the prsense of the witnesses hereunder subscribed personally appeared John Reeve of East Barnett in Hertfordshire Gent who hath made ordained constituted deputes j& appointed as by this prsts hee doth make ordain constitute & appoint Jeremiah Basse of West New Jersey in America Gent to be his true & lawfull attorney & assigns giveing & by these prsents granting unto his said Attorney full power & lawfull authority for him constituant & in his name & to his use & behoof to ask demand leavy ? & ? of & from William Righton of West New Jersey aforesd or of his heirs executors administrators goods chattles & estate whatsoever & wheresoever All such sume & sumes of money goods & effects as the said William Righton is owing & indebted or hath in his hands custody or possession due owing belonging or apperteyning unto the said cosntituant Bee it by bond bill book A? sp?ally consignment of goods or their ? or otherwise for what attempt or for what cause or reason soever with power to settle adjust & ballance a? compound c? & agree all differences upon recovery & receipt to give aquittanes? & discharges in due forme of law and if need be to appear in any court or courts & before all judges & justices there to answer defend & reply in all matters & causes touching or concerning the premises to doe say persue seize ? attach imprison & to condemn & out of prison again to shoe? and genreally tu use all lawfull ways & means for the recovery of ye premises as fully & amply to all intents & purposes as his constituant himself might or could doe if personally present with power to substitute one or more attorneys under his sd Attorney & the same again to revoak his constituant & m? to hold for firm & valid all & whatsoever his sd attorney or his substitute shall lawfully doe or cause to be done in & about ye premsises by value of these presnts in witness whereof the said constituant hath hereunto put his hand & seale this day & yeare aforewritten.
