Transcript

This Indenture made ye twelvfth day of September in ye yeare of our Lord according to English date one thousand six hundred ninety & five Betweene George Hutchison of Burlington in ye Province of West New Jersey Distiller on ye one pt and Walter Reeves of Northampton & County of Burlington in Province aforsd planter on ye other pt witnesseth that he sd George Hutchison for & in consideration of ye sum of fourteen pounds of currt money of this province to him in hand paid by ye sd Walter Reeve at & before ye ensealing & delivery hereof ye receipt whereof every pt & psell thereof he doth hereby acknowledge & thereof & ever pt & psell thereof agitt aquitt exonerate release & discharge ye sd Walter Reeve his heirs Exrs & Admirs & every of them forever by these prests hath granted bargained & sold alyned enfeoffed & confirmed and by these psents doth fully & clearly & absolutely grant bargain & sell alyen enfeoffe & confirm unto ye sd Walter Reeve his heires & assigns forever two hundred & twenty acres of land within the province of West New Jersey to be surveyed out of ye shares of land purchased of Helen Skens together also with all & every mines mineralls woods hawkings huntings fishings fowlings & all other royalties &? comdities hereditamts & appurtenances unto ye sd granted & bargained prmses with the appurtenances belonging or in any wise apperteyning & all ye estate right tytle pperty possession clayme or demand whatsoever as with in law as equity of in or unto ye sd granted & bargained two hudred twenty acres of land with the appurtenances and ye reversion & reversions remainder & remainders of ye same to have & to hold ye sd two hundred & twenty acres of land & pmuses with ye appurtenances unto ye sd Walter Reeve his heirs & assigns forever & ye only & pper use & behoof of him ye sd Walter Reeve his heirs & assigns forevermore and ye sd George Hutchinson for himself his heirs Exrs & Admrs doth hereby covenant pmise & agree to & with ye sd Walter Reeve his heirs & assigns that he ye sd George Hutchinson at ye time of ye sealing & delivery hereof hath good right full power & lawfull authority to grant bargain sell & confirm ye sd granted & bargained land & pmises with thappurtenances unto ye sd granted land & pmises with ye appurtenaces is are shall or may be ? or burthened in any charge & suit tytle or otherwise howsoever (other than ye quitt rents issuing thereon unto sd Lord & King & his heirs & ye areares thereof if any & of and further that he ye sd George Hutchison his heirs exrs & assigns shall & will at all times hereafter during ye space of seven years next ensueing ye date hereof at ye request cost & charges of ye sd Walter Reeve his heirs & assigns make doe & execute such further & other lawfull act & acts thing & things conveyance & assurances whatsoever for ye further better & more pfect & sure makeing & confirming ye sd granted & bargained pmises with ye appurtenances unto ye sd Walter Reeves his heirs & assigns forever as by ye sd Walter Reeve his heirs & assigns shall be reasonably required soe as ye person or persons to whom such requests shall be made be not ? or compatteble? to have further than ye towne of Burlington for ye makeing doeing & executing thereof & soe as such further assurances contained noe other warranty than acording to ye ? intent & meaning of these prsents in witness whereof ye ? first above mientioned to this presents indenture hath sett his hand & seale ye day & yeare first above written.
