To all Christian People to whome these presents shall come Abraham Reeve of EastHampton on Long Island or Island of Nassau in the province of New York in America sendeth Greeting Know ye and al men by these presents that I the sd Abraham Reeve for & in consideration of the sum of seventy & seven pounds curant and Lawfull silver mony of new England to me before the Ensealing & Delivery of these Presents in Hand paid & secured in the Law to be paid by Joseph Olmstead Senr of Hartford in the County of Hartford in the Collony of Connecticut New England aforesaid yeoman Have Given Granted Bargained Sold aliened Enfeofed and confirmed and by these presents I the said Abraham Reeve for me & my Heirs do clearly & absolutely give grant Bargain sell alien enfeofe & confirm unto the said Joseph Olmstead his Heirs & assigns for ever all that my lott or parcell of land situate lying & being in the meadow on the East side of Connecticut River in the Township of Hartford aforesaid (which was formerly severall Lotts & Did belong to my Late father Robert Reeve Decd) containing by estimation eighteen acres be the same more or less And is bounded on the north with land sometime belonging to John Holloway Decd on the East with the Long Lott of Land, on the South with land now in the tennure or occupation of Thomas Burr and on the west with the said connecticutt River And the reversion & reversions remainder & remainders of the said eighteen acres of land hereby Granted & al the estate Right title interest possession claim & demand whatsoever of me the said Abraham Reeve of in and to the same land and every part thereof with the fences, waters, wayes, passages, rents services & proffitts to the same incident belonging and appertaining. To have and to hold the said parcell of land hereby granted or mentioned to be granted be the same more or less & every part thereof with the appurtenances unto the said Joseph Omstead his heirs & assiges forever to & for his & their own proper use benefit & Behoofe for ever, and I the said Abraham Reeve for me my heirs executors and administrators do covenant promise & grant to & with the said Joseph Olmstead his heirs executors & assignes by these presents in manner & form following, that is to say That I the said Abraham Reeve now am the true sole & lawfull owner of al the said peice or parcell of land hereby Granted as aforesaid And that I now have in my self good right and lawfull & absolute power & authority to Grant alien & convey the same unto the said Joseph Omstead his heyrs & assignes to & for his & their own use in manner & forme ?. And that the said Joseph Olmstead his heyrs & assignes shall or lawfully may from time to time and att al times hereafter, have hold use occupie possess & enjoy the said piece or parcel of land hereby Granted or mentioned to be Granted as aforesaid & every part theereof and all & every the Rents issues Proffits & Commodities theirof coming arising & Growing have & take with out any manner of lett suit, trouble vexation eviction ejection or other hinderance or molestation whatsoever of me the said Abraham Reeve my heires or assignes or of any other person or persons whatsoever any thing having or lawfully claiming by from or under me or them or otherwise lawfully claiming the premises hereby granted or any part thereof hosoever, And also that the said parcell of land hereby granted & every part thereof now is & from henceforth & for ever hereafter shall remain continue & be unto the said Joseph Olmstead his heyres & assignes free & clear & clearly & absolutely freed and discharged of & from all & al manner of former & other Gifts, Grants, RIghts titles estates bargains sales feofments Devises uses mortgages deands & incumbrnaces whatsoever In wittness whereof I the said Abraham Reeve have hereunto sett my hand & seal in Hartford aforesaid the second Daye of Novem in the year of or Lord one thousand seven hundred & three & in the second year of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lady Ann by the Grace of God of England &c yte fida defensoris
