Transcript or Summary

The last will and testament of Ann Reeves of Nutshalling, in the County of Southampton, widow, taken this sixteenth of February 1727/8 being weak of body but in perfect memory. Imprimis, I recommend my soul to God that gave it hoping for mercy through the mercy and mediation of Jesus Christ our lord. Secondly, I dispose of my wordly goods as follows: Item, I give and bequeath unto my kinsman Edward Linard twenty shillings and to his son Liney Linard half a guinea. Item, I give and bequeath unto my daughter-in-law Ann Carter five pounds. Item, I give bequeath unto my God daughter Ann Woole half a guinea all which legacies are to be paid by my hereafter named executors and all the rest of my goods and chattels that shall remain I give and order for the breeding up of brother Richard Henvisses two daughters and if anything remains, to be equally divided between them, when of age, lastly I make and ordaine and appoint my friends Jon Cowdry and Jon Warne of Millbrock to be my full and sole executors in trust to perform and fulfil this my last will and testament and to see my body decently buried and debts discharged and I give each of my executors five pounds a piece for their care and trouble in seeing this my will and testament performed. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
