Transcript

In the Name of God Amen I Susanna Ryves of the parish of St Georges Hanover Square in the county of Middlesex Spinster do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following That is to say Imprimis my will is and I do hereby order and appoint that all the debts justly due and owing by me at the time of my decease be paid and satisfyed by my executrix hereafter named
Item I give and bequeath unto my neice Jane Read a Lockett hair Ring sett with six small rose diamonds
Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother Charles Ryves and to Elinor his wife each of them a guinea for a Ring
Item I give and bequeath unto my sister Margaret Ryves all my money plate Rings household stuff and wearing apparel and all and every things I shall be possessed of at the time of my decease except the house I purchased of William Cowcher in Curzon Street Brook field near High park corner and in which I now dwell now my will and mind is that if the said Wm Cowcher his heirs executors or Administrators do pay or cause to be paid unto my sister Margaret Ryves the full sume of one hundred and fifty pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain and interest of the same and all the arrows of interest that is or shall be justly due then my said sister Margaret Ryves (whom I appoint my sole executrix) shall assigne convey and make over the said house unto the aforesaid Wm Cowcher his heirs executors or Administrators
Item I recommend my neice Anne friend unto my said executrix to be bind to her as she shall deserve and I do hereby revoke all wills by me formerly made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twelfth day of August Anno Dom 1732

This Will was proved at London the twenty eighth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty five before the worshipfull John and Andley Doctor of Laws and Surrogate to the Right Worshipfull John Bettersworth Doctor also of Laws Master keeper or commissary of the prerogative court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Margaret Ryves the sister and executrix named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased being first sworn duly to Administer the same.
