This Indenture made the Twelfth Day of November in the Twentieth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith &c and in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and forty six Between William Rieves and Benjamin Rives of the County of Prince George of the one part and George Currie of the County of Amelia of the other part -Witnesseth that the said William Rives and Benjamin Rives for and in consideration of the sum of seventy pounds current money to them in hand paid by the said George Curris at and before the ensealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof they the said William Rives and Benjamin Rives do hereby acknowledge and thereof do fully freely and absolutely aquit exonerate and discharge the said George Currie his heirs executors and administrators and every of them by these presents have Given Granted Bargaained sold aliened released and confirmed and by these presents do give Grant Bargain sell alien release and confirm unto the said George Currie and to his Heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcell of land containing five hundred acres lying and being in the County of Amelia on the Lower side of Lazaretta Fork of Little Nottoway River and Bounded as followeth (to wit) Beginning at a forked Butter wood on the said fork Thens North forty three degree East one hundred and sixty poles to a corner Thenes East thirty five degrees one hundred and forty poles to a corner thence North thirty five degrees East sixty eight poles to a corner thense East thirty five degrees South two hundred and sixteen poles to a corner red oak thense south forty three degrees West two hundred and Ninety Seven poles to a Corner upon a high point thense West thirty degrees north Eighty Six poles to a buished Butterwood on the Brink of the Lazaretta and thense up the same as it meanders to the Beginning. The same being Granted to the said William Rives and Benjamin Rives two of the parties to these presents by Letters Pattent Dated at Williamsburg the tenth day of January in the year of our Lord Christ One Thousand Seven hundred and thirty five. With all houses out houses Buildings (?) water mills woods waters guardens orchards pastures feedings profits and easmonts on the said Tract or parsell of land being or therewith used occupied and possessed or to the same Belonging or in any wise appertaining & the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders thereof and all the Right title interest use trust property claim or Demand of them the said William Rives and Benjamin Rives of in or to the said premises and every part and parsell thereof with their and every of their appurtenances.
To have and to hold the said Tract or parsell of land and all and singular other the premises herein before Granted and sold with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said George Currie his heirs and assigns forever and they they said William Rives and Benjamin Rives for themselves their heirs executors and administrators do covenant grant and agree to and with the sd George Currie his heirs and assigns in manner and form following. That is to say that they said William Rives and Benjamin Rives at the time of the ensealing and Delivery hereof are and stand seized of and in the said Tract or parcell of land and other the premmises herein before Bargained and sold with the appurtenances of a good true perfect absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance in fee simple and have good right full power and lawfull authority to sell and convey the same in Manner aforesaid and further that he the said George Currie his heirs & assigns paying yearly the Quitrents thereof (?) Growing due and payable for the same shall and may have hold occupy possess and enjoy at all times and for ever hereafter the said tract or parcell of land with the apurtenances without the let suit eviction or molestation of them the said William Rives and Benjamin Rives their heirs or assigns or any other person or persons whatsoever claiming or to claim any Right Title or interest thereunto from or under them or any of them or by from or under any other person or ersons whatsoever and they the said William Rives and Benjamin the said tract or parcell of Land and other the premises herein before Bargained and sold with their and every of their appurtenances as well for themselves their heirs or assigns as for any other person or persons unto the said George Currie his heirs and assigns shall & will warrant and forever by these presents Defend in Witness whereof they the said William Rives and Benjamin Rives have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written.

Memorandum that this day full and peasible possession and siezin of the within mentioned lands & premises was given and delivered by the within named William Rives and Benjamin Rives to the within mentioned George Currie in presense of the witnesses hereunto subscribed.

This Deed with livery and (?) endorsed from William Rives and Benjamin Rives to George Currie was proved by the oaths of John Bridgforth Arthur Leath and Robert Farguson witnesses thereto and ordered to be Recorded.
