Transcript

Whereas Jonathan Reeves now of the County of Salem Am Entitled to Dower in right of my wife Late Hannah Budd of and in the plantation whereof her late Husband John Budd Died seized situate in the Township of Northampton and Hanover Containing about five hundred acres of land meadow Now Know ye that I the said Jonathan Reeves for and in consideration of the sum of seventy eight pounds sixteen shillings procln to me paid by John Budd and Samuel Budd sons of the said John Budd Deceased Do hereby remise release and quitt claim unto the said John and Samuel Budd and their respective heirs and assigns all the interest and right & dower of and in the said plantation while the said Jonathan Reeves heretofore had on hereafter might or could have in the premises during the coverture & cohabitation of the said Jonathan and Hannah my wife or as I the said Jonathan shall live as witness my hand and seal this third day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and sixty 1760

Be it remembered that on the third day of May 1760 personally appeared before me Charles Read Esqr One of the Majtgrs of the high court of Chancery for the Colony of New Jersey Jonathan Reeves the within named and acknowledged that he signed the within writing and sealed the same for the use and purposes therein mentioned acknowledged the day and year
