In the Name of God Amen. I Hezekiah Reave of Southold in the County of Suffolk and Province of New York in America &c being poorly in Body and calling to mind the mortality of my Body do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament as followeth imprimis I moast humbly give and bequeath my soul to God that gave it humbly beseaching his most gracious acceptance of it through an all sufficient saviour my most compassionate Redeemor Jesus Christ who gave himself to be an Atoanement for my sins and is able to save to the utmost all that come to him seeing he ever lives to make intersession for them that trust in him to whome I render up my soul humbly beseeching the moast gracious God to preserve me for the time of my departure and then to take me to himself into that Peace and rest incomparable which he has prepared for those that love his Holy name Amen Blessed be God
Imprimis I give my Body to the Earth from whence it was taken in full assurance of its Resurrection from thence at the last Day as for my Buriall I desire it may be decent at the Discretion of my Exrs hereafter mentioned and as to my worldly estate I will and positively order, in mannas as followeth
Imprimus I give to my well beloved wife one third of all my lands and meadows in leiu of her dowry or thirds
Item I give to my son Manasseh Reaves the sum of five shillings to be paid by my executors hereafter named
Item I give to my son Jonathan Reave the sum of five shilling to be paid by my exrs hereafter named
Item I give unto my son William the sum of five shillings to be paid by my Exrs hereafter named
Item I give to my son Jesse the sum of five shilling to be paid by my execur hereafter named
Item I give to my son Silus the sum of five shillings to be paid by my Exrs hereafter named
Item I give to my son Purriah Reave all my land at the new Road or adjoyning thereto also all my meadows at Saw Mill Brook also that Woodland which I have adjoyning to ye land northerly where my son Purriah liveth to him his heirs and assigns forever
Item I give to my two Daughters Mary & Jerusha my dwelling House and nek of land where I now live also all my moveable estate to them their heirs and assigns forever together with the improvement of the on half of my saw mill Brook meadow and my woodland joyning to Richard Sesey and my son Purriah land for Firewood as long as they shall live single or unmarried
Lastly I appoint my well beloved wife and my son Purriah Reave to be my lawful Exrs of this my last Will and Testament and I do utterly revoke all other Wills and intails whatsoever In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirtyeth day of January in the year of our Lord Christ 1761

Queens County Be it remembered that on the twenty eighth day of February one thousand seven hundred and seventy personally came and appeared before me Jared Landon Surrogate of the said County Ebenezer Mather Carpenter and Joshua Corwin yeoman both of the County of Suffolk and being duly sworn on their oaths declared that they and each of them did see Hezekiah Reave sign and seal the within written instrument purporting to be the Will of the said Hezekiah Reave bearing date the thirtieth day of January AD 1761 and heard him publish and declare the same as and for his last Will and Testament that at the time thereof he the said Hezekiah Reave was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best of the knowledge and belief of them the Deponents and that their names subscribed to the said Will are of their respective proper hands writing which they subscribed as witnesses to the said Will in the Testators Presence and that they the Deponents saw James Fanning the other witness to the said Will subscribed his name as witness thereto in the Testators presence
