In the Name of God Amen the Seventh day of February in the year of our Lord Christ seventeen hundred and sixty one. I Walter Reeve of the Town of Southold in the County of Suffolk in the Province of New York yeoman being of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God for it but calling to mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die; do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say principally and first of all, I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it, and my Body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a Decent Christian Burial at the Direction of my Executors hereafter to be named and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life, I give devise and Dispose of the same in the following manner and form.Imprimis I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth all my lands whereon my Buildings now stand called seventy acres be it more or less, together with my medow lying in that part of the Town called Aquabauck undivided; as also the wheat and Rie now on the Ground which I sowed upon shears on major Hortons Farm, I also give and bequeath to my said wife all my Farming Tacling, as also four cows and calfs, one part of oxen and two horses, all which is given to my said wife only for and in lieu of her Dowry, to be hers so long as she continues my widow and no longer, for her sole use and improvement in order to bring up the children during the abovesaid term.
Secondly all my moveable estate that remains undisposed of I will and appoint to be sold at Publick auction and all my lawfull Debts to be paid out of it and the overplus to be divided equally among my beloved children Elizabeth, Abigal, Nathan, Hannah, William, Sarah, Daniel to be paid them when at age by my executors.
Thirdly I give and bequeath to my beloved son Elisha six pounds to be paid by my executors when of age out of my moveable estate what is writen above notwithstanding. Lastly of this my last Will and Testament I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my Honoured Father in Law Mr. William Reve and Captain Daniel Osborn to be my executors with full power and authority to act in and about the premises hereby enjoyning upon them to pay my just debts & funeral charges.

Suffolk County SS Be it Remembred that on the 28th of March 1761 Personally came and appeared before me Samuel Landon Surrogate of the said County Silus Horton of the said County yeoman and being duly swoarn on his oath declared that he did see Walter Reeves sign and seal the within written instrument purporting to be the will of the said Walter Reeves baring date the seaventh day of February 1761 and heard him publish and declare the same to be and contain his last Will and Testament that at the time thereof he the said Walter Reeves was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best of the knowledge and belief of him the Deponent and that his Name subscribed to the said will was of his respective proper hand writing which he subscribed as witness to the said will in the Testators presents and that he the Deponent saw Thomas Pain and Crispus Gardiner the other witnesses to the said will subscribe their names as witnesses thereto in the testators presents.
