Transcription

George Reves      §       This Indenture made this 17th day of
      to                     §       Dec. in the year of 1762, by and between
Robert Grady      §       George Reeves of Johnston County in the said
          Province of North Carolina, a planter of the one
Part and Robert Grady of Granvil County of the other part. Witnesseth That the sd. George for and consideration of the sum of Eleven Pounds Seventeen Shillings three pence Currant Monie (sic) of Virginia to him in hand paid and Satisfied Hath given Granted bargained Sold released Enfeofed (sic) and confirmed and by these Presents doth absolutely Give grant alien Enfeof and confirm unto the sd. Robert Grady his Heirs and Assigns forever one certain tract or pcl of Land situate lying and being in the County and province aforesd on the so.th side pf the Neuse River Containing One Hundred and fifty acres to the same more or less according to the bounds as followeth (Viz) Beginning on the So.th side of Neuse River at Wm. Humphryes Corner pine, then West along the said ;line of unmarked trees to another pine thence North along marked trees to the River then down the River to the first Station and is part of a Tract of land granted by a Deed to John Bledso by his Maj's Lord’s agent Bearing date the fifth day of February 1760 by him the said John Bedso was conveyed to the said George Reaves and him the sd. Reaves to the sd. Grady with all and Singular his rights Hereditaments appurtenances Houses yards Orchards and all other Commons Profits benefits and Emoluments to Land belonging to Have and to hold the sd. Tract or parcel of land and Singular the Premises unto the sd. Robert Grady his heirs and Assigns forever in as full and ample manner to all intents and purposes the sd. George Reaves might or could have hold the same before the making hereof and such an Estate in and to the Premises cleared and free from all manner of incumbrances Whatsoever and this Day the sd. George Reeves hereby binds himself his Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns to Warrant and forever defend to be Valid and Sufficient to the said Robert Grady his Heirs and assigns forever. In Witness I the said George Reves have hereunto set my hand & Seal the day and year above Written.
