This Indenture made the 10th day of October 1763, Between William Reeves of the county of Johnston province of No. Carolina of the one part, & Wm. Reeves of Orange county & province of the other part Witnesseth etc and etc said William Reeves Sr. for and in consideration of the sum of 140 pounds Virginia money to him in hand paid, by the said Wm. Reeves at or before the sealing & delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge thereof, doth acquit, exonerate & discharge the said William Reeves his heirs etc. and by these presents have granted, bargained sold, aliened, released & confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell etc. unto Wm. Reeves his heirs etc. forever a certain tract or parcel of land, containing 400 acres more or less, & bounded as follows, to wit, beginning at a white oak, on the So. Side of Neuse River running So. 25 W 254 Poles to a persimmon tree, thence So. 25 E 254 po to a pine on the E. side of Ellowbys Creek, thence No. 25 E 104 poles to the River then up the River the various courses to the first station, with the buildings, orchards, woods etc. etc. therein contained & all other prophits etc. whatsoever to the same or any part thereof belonging to have & to hold, use, occupy & enjoy the said parcel or tract of land & all other the before granted premises and every part thereof, to etc said Wm. Reeves Jr. his heirs etc. to the only proper use & behoof of him the said Wm. Reeves his heirs etc. forever and the said William Reeves Sr. for himself his heirs etc. doth further covenant the said Wm. Reeves Jr. his heirs etc the right and title of the said land & premises be & they will warrant & by these presents forever defend & maintain against all manner of persons whatsoever unto the said Wm.
