"This is a copy of the John Crooke family taken from
Jabez Crooke's Bible. Jabez was my great-grandfather and
lived for several years with' my grandparents - George
& Eliza Crooke. Rebecca'ss name was not entered in the
Bible so I added it to my old record. She was the great-
grandmother of Mellcene Thurman Smith who wrote "History
and Lineage Book of the National Society DAC in Missouri,"
which has a Crooke history."

The Jabez Crooke Bible record was sent by Mrs. White
to Mrs. Robert Ingalls, Bedford, Indiana, who contributed
it to Genealogical Records, John Wallace Chapter, DAR.
These are the children of Jabez and Anna Proctor Crooke as listed in the old Bible."
