Transcript

This Indenture made this Tenth day of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Seven Between Rodger Reeves of Baltomore County in the Province of Maryland of the one part and John Scholfield of the County and Province aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Rodger Reeves for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty pounds currency to him in hand paid the receipt whereoof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part and parcell thereof fully clearly and absolutely acquit exonerate and discharge the said John Scholfield Hath and by these presents Doth Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said John Scholfield his Heirs and Assigns a tract or parcel of land cotaing Fifty acres coled Revess Neck situate lying and being in boltomore County in the Province of Maryland, begining at Three bounded whit oaks standing upon a Hill and runing from thence south twenty degrees west one hundred and thirty perches then south forty three degrees east twenty eight perches thence north forty six degrees & East Thirty four Perches Then North Thirty five degrees East Thirty four Perches then north seventy degrees east twenty perches thence north thirty three degrees east seventy perches thence with a streight line to the said bounded trees containing and laid out for fifty acres more or less as also all the estate right title interest Benefit claim and Demand of him the said Rodger Reves of in and to all and singular the land and premises and of in and to every part and parcel of them. To have and to hold the said Fifty acres of land together with all and singular other the premises hereinbefore menchened or intended to be menchened hereby granted with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise to the same appurtaing unto him the said John Scholfield his Heirs and Assigns for every To the only proper use and behoof of him the said John Scholfield his heirs and assigns for ever And the said Rodger Reaves doth for himself his heirs and assigns covenant grant and agree That he the said Rodger Reves his heirs and assigns shall and will from Time to Time and at all Times hereafter at the Reasonabil instantes and request of him the said John Scholfield his hires and assigns warrant and defend the said land Together with the premises and appurtenances from all persons under him the quit rents and land tax hereafter to become due only excepted unto him the said John Scholfield his hires and assigns for ever. In witness whereof the said Rodger Reeves hath hereunto sett his hand and seal the day and year above written

On the 11th dya of February 1767 Came the within named Rodger Reves before us the subbscribers two justis of the Pace for Baltomore County and acknowleg the Land and premes here un menchend to be the wright titel and astate of the within menchend John Scholfield and his heirs and assigns forever. The within written Instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof as witness our hands
