THIS INDENTURE Made this the first Day of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred & Sixty Eight Between Malichy Reaves (sic Reeves) of Granville County in the Province of North Carolina planter of the one part and Mourning Hunt of the County & province aforesd of the other part. Witnesseth that the sd Malichy Reaves (sic Reeves) for & in Consideration of the sum of Fifty pounds Proclamation money to him in hand paid by the sd. Mourning Hunt at or before Sealing & delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof he the sd. Malichy Reeves doth hereby Acknowledge hath Granted, Bargained, Sold aliened Enfeoffed released & Confirmed & by these presents Doth Grant Bargain & Sell alien enfeoff Release & Confirm unto the Mourning Hunt her heirs & assigns for Ever A Certain Tract or parcel of Land Situate lying & being in in (sic) the County of Granville aforesd. & on both sides of Fishing Creek Containing by Estimation One Hundred Acres be the Same More or Less & is bounded as followeth, To Wit, beginning at a white oak on the North side of Fishing Creek Runing thence South 160 pole to a black Jack thence west 190 poles to a red oak thence along a line of Marked Trees on the East side of the New Road to a Hickory thence East to the Beginning or first Bound (? sic) Tree. And also the Reversion & Reversions, Remainder & Remainders, with the Rents Services & other Emoliments, & also all the Estate, Right, Title, Interest, Claim property or Demand whatsoever of him the sd Malichy Reeves of in & to the Land & premises aforesd & of in & to every part & parcel thereof. TO HAVE & TO HOLD the sd Tract or parcel of Land & premises with the appurtenances unto the sd. Mourning Hunt her heirs & Assigns forever and the sd. Malichy Reeves for himself & his heirs doth Covenant & agree to & with the sd. Mourning Hunt that he the sd. Malichy Reeves the sd. Seat (? sic), Tract or parcel of Land & premises & the Appurtenances unto the sd. Mourning Hunt her Heirs & assigns forever will Warrant & Defend, And the sd. Malichy Reeves doth oblige himself to pay all the Interest now due on the sd. Land. IN WITNESS whereof the sd.
