TranscriptionTHIS INDENTURE Made this the first Day of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred & Sixty Eight Between Malichy Reaves (sic Reeves) of Granville County in the Province of North Carolina planter of the one part and Mourning Hunt of the County & province aforesd of the other part. Witnesseth that the sd Malichy Reaves (sic Reeves) for & in Consideration of the sum of Fifty pounds Proclamation money to him in hand paid by the sd. Mourning Hunt at or before Sealing & delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof he the sd. Malichy Reeves doth hereby Acknowledge hath Granted, Bargained, Sold aliened Enfeoffed released & Confirmed & by these presents Doth Grant Bargain & Sell alien enfeoff Release & Confirm unto the Mourning Hunt her heirs & assigns for Ever A Certain Tract or parcel of Land Situate lying & being in in (sic) the County of Granville aforesd. & on both sides of Fishing Creek Containing by Estimation One Hundred Acres be the Same More or Less & is bounded as followeth, To Wit, beginning at a white oak on the North side of Fishing Creek Runing thence South 160 pole to a black Jack thence west 190 poles to a red oak thence along a line of Marked Trees on the East side of the New Road to a Hickory thence East to the Beginning or first Bound (? sic) Tree. And also the Reversion & Reversions, Remainder & Remainders, with the Rents Services & other Emoliments, & also all the Estate, Right, Title, Interest, Claim property or Demand whatsoever of him the sd Malichy Reeves of in & to the Land & premises aforesd & of in & to every part & parcel thereof. TO HAVE & TO HOLD the sd Tract or parcel of Land & premises with the appurtenances unto the sd. Mourning Hunt her heirs & Assigns forever and the sd. Malichy Reeves for himself & his heirs doth Covenant & agree to & with the sd. Mourning Hunt that he the sd. Malichy Reeves the sd. Seat (? sic), Tract or parcel of Land & premises & the Appurtenances unto the sd. Mourning Hunt her Heirs & assigns forever will Warrant & Defend, And the sd. Malichy Reeves doth oblige himself to pay all the Interest now due on the sd. Land. IN WITNESS whereof the sd. Malichy Reeves hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal the day & Year first above Written.
