Transcript

Know all men by these Presents That I Elizabeth Holman of Salem in the County of Essex in New England widow in consideration of Ten Pounds thirteen shillings and four pence lawful money paid me by Samuel Holman of Salem aforesaid Hatter the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge do hereby give grant sell and convey unto the said Samuel Holman his heirs and assigns one common right in the lower division of the Great Pasture in Salem so called commonly called the Cow Pasture with the Priviledges and Appurtenances thereto belonging is being a right that belonged to my Father Cockerel Reeves Decd ye one moiety whereof was set off to me in the Division of said Estate and the other moiety in the division of his widows thirds of said Estate To have and to hold the same to the said Samuel Holman and to his heirs to his and their use and behoof forever and I the Grantor do covenant with the said Samuel Holman his heirs & assigns that I am lawfully seized in fee of the premises that they are free of all incumbrances that I said Grantor have good right to sell and convey the same to the said Samuel Holman his heirs & assigns as aforesaid to hold as aforesaid and that I said Grantor will warrant and defend the same to the said Samuel Holman his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims and demands of ? persons In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty eighth day of December Anno Domini 1771.
