Transcript
In the name of God Amen I Cicelah Frazier of Caroline County in the Province of Maryland do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following vizt. And first, I will and bequeath my soul unto God that gave it; and my Body to be Buried in a christian like and decent manner and as for such worldly goods with which it hath pleased God to bless me I dispose of them in the following manner.First I will and bequeath unto my Grand Daughter Mary Chipley Edgell a Negro girl named Pegg, after she the said Mary arrives to the age of sixteen years, to her and her heirs lawfully begotten forever; but if the said Mary should die before she arrives to that age then the said Negro Girl to be kept by my Daughter Ann Edgell until she the said Negro arrives to the age of sixteen years and then to be sold and the money to be equally divided between my Grand children Moses Alford and William Reeves.
2dly I will and bequeath unto my grandson Moses Alford after he arrives to the age of twenty one years, one half of my personal estate after all my debts and funeral charges are legally paid and discharged. I also will unto the said Moses Alford the following articles which did belong to his deceased Mother (vizt) two cows (which I desire may be put out to raise for halves untill he arrives to the age of Twenty one years) one feather Bed with a Patch-work Bed-Cover: Two pair of sheets: one Blanket; a Bolster and pillow; one small Desk: one chcest: two large pewter dishes, and six pewter plates, and one pewter Bason; all but the bason marked EA M; one iron pot & pot hooks: one iron pot rack; one iron hook for a pot rack; one Box Iron & heaters; one pair of steelyards; one hackle; one linen wheel; flesh forks; one candlestick; a ? morter & pestle; two butter pots; one gold ring; one silver thimble and one bested. But if the said Mores should die before he arrives to the age of twenty one years then all the legacy to William Reeves.
3dly I will and bequeath unto my Grandson William Reeves one chest (which did belong to his grandfather Benoni Frazier) as a legacy also one half of my personal estate after all my debts, Funeral charges, and legacy's are legally paid and discharged.
Memorandum I will unto my aforesaid Grand Child Mary Chipley Edgell, one trunk; one side saddle; and my cloaths.
4thly I will and bequeath unto my Daughter Eleanor Reeves one Gold Ring as a legacy.
5thly I will and bequeath unto my Daughter Ann Edgell one Gold Ring as a legacy.
Memm. my will is, the Horsehind should be sold at publick sale, and the money thence arising to be let out to interest, soon after my decease.
Lastly I make ordain and constitute my son in law John Reeves whole and sole executor of this my last will and Testament, utterly revoking and disannulling all other wills, testaments, legacy's or executors whatsoever; ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament.

Caroline County towit the 10th day of August 1776. Then came John Reeves, and made oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that the within instrument of writing is the true and whole will and Testament of Cecilah Frazier late of Caroline County Deceased, that hath come to his hands or possession: and that he doth not know of any other.

Caroline County towit the 10th day of August 1776 Then came Andrew Banning and Solomon Hobbs the two subscribing witnesses to the within last will and Testament of Cecelah Frazier late of Caroline County deceased and made oath on the Holy Evangel of Almighty God that they did see the Testator therein named sign and seal this will and that they heard her publish pronounce and declare the same to be her last will and testament that at the time of her so doing, she was, to the best of their apprehension, of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding; and they respectively subscribed their names as witnesses to this will, in the presence and at the request of the Testator, and in the presence of each other.
