Transcript

In the Name of God Amen, the seventh Day of June one thousand seven Hundred & Eighty I Isaac Reeve of Hewark Township & County of Essex State of New Jersey being sick in Body but of perfect mind & memory, thanks be to Almighty God; therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing it is appointed for all men once to Die, Do make this my Last Will & Testament, First I Give and bequeath my soul into the hand of God who gave it & my body to the Dust to be Buried in a Decent manner at the Discretion of my Executor hereafter Named.
My will is that all my just Debts be paid by my executors
Item I Give and Bequeath unto my beloved wife Catherine all my household furniture also one horse one cow & five sheep and the full use of all my estate untill my youngest son arrives to full age if she remains my widow so long if she sooner marries then the one third only untill my son arrives of full age & no longer which I Give her in lieu of her Right of Dower
Item I give to my beloved sons Elias & Isaac Reeve all my lands to be equally Devided Between them
Item I Give and Bequeath unto my two Daughters Elizabeth & Nancy Reeve fifty pounds each to be payd them in the old way when they shall arrive to the age of Eighteen years
I Do hereby make constitute and appoint my Beloved wife Catherine Executrix and my Honourd Father William Reeve and my trust Fried John Tuttle to be my executor of this my last will and Testament revoking and disanulling all former and other wills & Testaments heretofore by me made & Done ratifying and holding this and no other to be ly Last will & Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Day and Date above written.

Wm Hand one of the witnesses to the within will being duly sworn did depose and say that he saw Isaac Reeve the testator sign and seal and heard him publish pronounce and declare the within writing to be his last will and Testament and at the doing thereof the said Isaac Reeve was of sound and disposing mind and memory as far as he knows and verily believes.
