Transcript

In the Name of God Amen. This is the last will and Testament of me Thomas Reeve of the Parish of Blackmore in the County of Essex Blacksmith
I give and bequeath the copyhold house and premises thereto belonging situate on Blackmore Green in the manor Fingrith hall (and in the occupation of William Reeve Butcher to my dear wife Elizabeth Reeve during her natural life and at her decease I give and bequeath the said house and premises to my nephew Joseph Ren and his heirs forever
I give and bequeath my copyhold house called the Swan situated in the village of Blackmore in the manor of Fingrith Hall and in the occupation of Joseph Fitch and James O?rage to my wife Elizabeth Reeve during her natural life and at her decease give and bequeath the said house and premises to my nephew Thomas Reeve son of my Brother Joseph Reeve) and his heirs forever
I give and bequeath my copyhold house and the premises thereto belonging situate in the village of Blackmore in the manor of Fingrith hall now in the occupation of John Boulton also Sarah Bunnell to my wife Elizabeth Reeve during her natural life and her decease I give and bequeath the said house and premises to my nephew Joseph Ren and his heirs forever
I give and bequeath my copyhold house and the buildings thereon belonging situate in High Rooding Street in the Parish of High Rooding called the Rohite house and in the occupation of James Reeve Blacksmith to my wife Elizabeth Reeve during her natural life and at her decease I give and bequeath the said house and premises thereto belonging to my godson William Fitch son of William Fitch of Willingale Doe in the county of Essex to him and his heirs forever
I give and bequeath to my nephew James Reeve (son of my Brother Francis Reeve) one shilling to be paid him by my executors hereinafter named a twelvemonth and a day after my decease
I give and bequeath to my niece Mary Morris five pound of lawful money of England to be paid her by my executors a twelvemonth and a day after my devease
I give and bequeath to my nephew Joseph Ren all my stock in the Blacksmith shop (viz) iron working tools Bellows anvil & all the rest and residue of my goods money book debts B?s it whatsoever I give and bequeath to my dear wife Elizabeth Reeve during her natural life and after her decease I give and bequeath the same to my nephew Joseph Ren and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint William Fitch Senr of Willingale Doe farmer and John Judd of Blackmore Grocer executors of this my last will and Testament and revoking all former wills by me made do hereby ratify and confirm this to be my last will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty second day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty

On the first day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty two Administration (with the will annexed of the goods chattels and credits of Thomas Reeve late of the parish of Blackmore in the County was Essex deceased was granted to Elizabeth Reeve widow the relict of the said deceased having been first by ?ion duly to administer John Judd one of the executors named in the said will dying in the life time of the said testator and William Fitch the elder the other executor named in the said will having first renounced the execution thereof
