Know all men by these presents that we Lemuel Norton of Edgcombe in the County of Lincoln Gentleman and Mary Norton wife of the said Lemuel being a child and Heir of James Revis deceased for and in consideration of five pounds to us in hand paid by William Sevey of Pownalborough in said County Gentleman the Receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge, do hereby remise release sell and forever quit claim to the said William and his heirs all our Right Title interest and demand we have in a certain lot of land lying in said Pownalborough on which the said William now lives and is in possession of, being lot No twelve in the survey taken by the Wiscasset Company and fronts thirty five Rods on Sheepscut River and adjoins Northeasterly on Land of Michael Sevey and Southwesterly on land of Isaac Young and extends from sd Rover a Northwest course holding the width of thirty five Rods untill one hundred acres be made up and compleated, our Right and share in which Lot descended to us from our Father the said James Revis decd. To have and to hold the same to the said William Sevey and his heirs forever. In witness whereof we hereto set our hands and seals the fifth Day of November in the year of our Lord seventeen hundred and eighty seven. Lemuel (his x mark) Norton and a seal. Mary (her x mark) Norton. Signed sealed and delivered in presence of Thos Price James Revis. Lincoln Js. November 5. 1787.
