In the Name of God Amen May the fifteenth one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine I Thomas Reeve of Southold in the County of Suffolk in the State of New York in America being in bodily health and of perfect mind and memory and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament (viz) Principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of the Almighty God in and thro the merits and mediation of his only son Jesus Christ my dear Redeemer and for my body I recommend it to the earth to be buried in a christian like and decent manner at the discretion of my executors And as touching such worldly estate wherewith God hath been pleased to bless me in this life I give and devise & dispose of in the following manner.Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Kezia Reeve all my household furniture to improve during life and after that to give it to my two daughters Sarah and Experience as much as my other two daughters have had and the rest to be equally divided between my four daughters Kezia Hannah Sarah Experience my wife to have the priviledge of the east room and kitchen and two cows and all my grain.
Item I give unto my son Thomas Reeve the farm on which I now live with two rights in the old manor with a piece of meadow known by the name of the Great Flats, my writing desk he paying my son Daniel fifty pounds york money at or before the expiration of one year after my decease.
Item I give to my son James the east half of deep creek meadow with the land adjoining with a piece of thatch meadow on the south end of the cellar flats
Item I give to my son Barnabas eighteen pounds york money
Item I give unto my son Daniel a piece of land lying in Mattatick woods a piece of meadow known by the name of the spring flats two rights in the Dayton manor.
Item I give unto my son John the farm upon which my son Thomas now improves with the west half of the deep creek meadow with a piece of thatchd meadow on the north end of the cellar flats with two rights in the Terrils manor with my case of Bottles.
Item I give my farming tackling to my two sons Thomas and John to be equally divided between them.
Item I give my wearing apparel to my three sons Thomas James & John to be equally divided between them.
Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my beloved wife Kezia Reeve with my two sons Thomas & John executors of this my last will and testament enabling them to sell two rights in the Wickham manor with all my stock if needed towards paying my just debts and legacys and funeral charges.

Suffolk County SS: Be it Remembered that on the twenty ninth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety personally came and appeared before me Thomas Tredwell Surrogate of the said County John Hubbard merchant and Joseph Corwin and Amaziah Corwin yeomen all of Southold in the County aforesaid and being duly sworn on their oaths declared that they and each of them did see Thomas Reeve sign and seal the preceding written instrument purporting to be the will of the said Thomas Reeve bearing date the fifteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine and heard him publish and declare the same as and for his last will and testament; that at the time thereof he the said Thomas Reeve was of sound disposing mind and memory to the best of the knowledge and belief of them the deponents and that they the Deponents severally subscribed the said will as witnesses thereto in the testator's presence.

The People of the State of New York by the Grae of God Free and Independent to all to whom these presents shall come or may concern send Greeting Know ye that at Suffolk County on the twenty ninth day of July last before Thomas Tredwell Esq Surrogate of our said County the last will and testament of Thomas Reeve deceased (a copy whereof is hereunto annexed) was proved and is now approved and allowed of by us and the said deceased having whilst he lived and at the time of his death goods chattels or credits within this State by means whereof the proving and registerin the said will and the granting administration of all and singular the said goods chattels and credits and also the auditing allowing and final discharging the account thereof doth belong unto us, the administration of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased and any way concerning his will is granted unto Kezia Reeve, Thomas Reeve and John Reeve the executors in the said will named they being first duly sworn well and faithfully to administer the same and to make and exhibit a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said goods chattels and credits and also to render a just and true account thereof when thereunto required. In testimony whereof we have caused the seal of office of our said Surrogate to be hereunto affixed.
Witness Thomas Tredwell Esquire Surogate of the said County at Smithtown the eleventh day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety and of our Independence the fifteenth.
