To all to whom these Presents shall come Greetings Know ye that I John Reaves of the County of Wayne and Province of North Carolina a planter for and in consideration of Sum of One hundred pounds Current money of said State to him in hand paid before the insealing and delivery hereof well and truly paid by Adam Reaves the County and Province aforesaid the receipt thereof I do hereby acknowledge and myself to be fully satisfied and and (sic) Contented and of every part parcel and theirof and to Exonerate acquit and discharge the sd Adam Reaves his heirs Executors Administrators forever by these Presents have given granted bargained and conveyed and confirmed and by these Presents do fully freely ad clearly absolutely give grant bargain Sale unto sd Adam Reaves his his (sic) heirs forever and assigns forever a parcell of land Situate and and (sic) two hundred acres lying and being in the County afores'd lying upon the South side of Brooks Swamp beginning at a pine on or near Bassses line and near his own corner on the Maple Branch runs with or near Sd line North twenty eight West one hundred poles to a post Oak then to Basses Corner and along his line South three hundred and ten poles to a pine then East one hundred and twenty seven poles to a pine thence to the Beginning to have and to hold the said land and Premises with all appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any ways pertaining to him the sd John Reaves his heirs Exrs Administrators or Assigns forever to his or their only proper use and Benefits and behoof forever I the sd John Reaves for me me (sic) my heirs Executors & Administrators do Covenant Promise and I engage to and with the sd Adam Reaves his heirs Executors Administrators and assigns that before the Sealing hereof I am the true Soul and Lawful owner of the above Bargained Premises and am lawfully possessed of the same in my own proper use rightfull full power and authority to grant to bargain and convey the above bargained premises in manner as above said and that the sd Adam Reaves his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns Shall and my from time to time and at all times forever have of by virtue of these Presents lawfully and Peacefully to have forever hearafter by free virtue of these Presents have manner of liberty property their belonging this and theirs proper use forever and he the sd John Reaves his Heirs Executors or assigns quit all rites titles Claims or Property thereto belonging forever and do forever Warrant and defend the sd Bargained premises form all manner of Persons that Shall claim rite tittle or property Witnesseth whereunto I sett hand and seal the fourteenth day February 1792.
