This Indenture made the tenth day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety two Between John Taylor in the County of Wilkes and State aforesaid Constable of the one part and Daniel Reaves of the State and County aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Taylor Constable did on the first day of December expose to publick Sale all the right title Interest and Claim of Charles Little Thomas Little and David Little Heirs of Thomas Little deceased of two hundred and fifty acres of Land Lying and being in the County of Wilkes and State aforesaid on Pistol Creek by original Grant from his Excelence the Govenor (sic) Samuel Elbert by Grant bearing date the twenty second day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five and Daniel Reaves being then the Highest bidder did then and there bid of and pay down the following sums that is to say for Charles Littles part the sum of twenty shillings & six pence, for Thomas Little the sum of ten Shillings and six pence and for David Little the sum of sixteen sixteen (sic) Shillings & six pence, the Judgements (sic) against them are as follows, to wit, Thomas Hooper against Charles Little on an Attachment eighteen shillings with give Shillings and Eight pence of Cost, Isaiah Willis against Thomas Little for the sum of ten Shillings with give Shillings and Eight pence of Cost, and Isaiah Willis against David Little for one pound fifteen Shillings, with give Shillings and Eight pence of Cost the Land sold and intended to be sold, is the above described Land, Together with all and Singular the Rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the same nd I the said John Taylor being (stricken in deed book) Constable being Commanded and Authorized to explore to publick sale to the Highest bidder for ready money the above described Land and premises, Will as far as respects the dutys and Office of Constable Warrant and, for Ever defend from me my Heirs and all and every other person Claiming by or under me to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Daniel Reaves and to his Heirs and Assigns forever As Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year being first above Written ~Signed Sealed & Delivered } John Taylor (seal)
