THIS INDENTURE made this 30th day of November one thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety five Between Theophilus Evans and Jesse Reves both of Wilkes County and State of North Carolina Witnesseth that the Said Theophilus Evans for and in Consideration of the Sum of two Hundred Pounds Virginia Money to him in hand paid by Said Jesse Reves the Receipt hereof the said Theophilus Evans Doth hereby Acknowledge & himself therewith fully Satisfied and paid Hath Granted Bargained Sold Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents doth fully Clearly and Absolutely Grant Bargain Sell Convey and Confirm unto the said Jesse Reves his heirs and Assigns forever A tract of Land Containing four Hundred Acres Lying in the County of Wilkes aforesd. from Little Elk Creek Beginning at a white oak in Enoch Osborns Line Runing South two hundred and fifty poles to a White oak in William Mase- Line thence west along said Line &c two hundred and forty poles to a Large Poplar thence North two hundred and fifty Six poles to Osborns Line Aforesaid thence South Eighty three degrees East along Said Line two Hundred and forty two poles to the Beginning together with Every Right title Priviledge an(d) Emolument to the said Land belonging or anywise appertaining and he the said Theophilus Evans doth bind himself his heirs Executors and Administrators well and truly to warrant and forever Defend the aforesaid premises with All the Appurtenances to him the said Jesse Reves his heirs and assigns free and clear of all incumberances (sic) and Claims whatsoever in Witness Whereof he the Said Theophilus Evans hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal the day above Written
