THIS INDENTURE MADE THIS 28 DAY OF January Anno Dommini (sic) one thousand Seven hundred & ninety Seven Between Wm. Reves & James Chesser both of the County of Wilkes North Carolina Witnesseth that the Sd. Wm. Reves for an in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred pounds to him in hand paid by the Sd. James Chesser the Receipt whereof the Sd. Wm. Reves doth hereby Acknowledge & himself fully Satisfyd and paid hath Granted Bargained Sold & Confirmed & by these presents doth fully Clearly & Absolutely Grant Bargain Sell Convey and Confirm unto the said James Chesser his heirs and Assigns forever A tract or parcel of Land Supposed to be two hundred Acres more or Less lying in the County of Wilkes on the South Side of New River, Beginning at a Chesnut tree at the Mouth of a Branch Runing thence North Eighty Degrees East three Hundred and fifty poles down the Several Meanders of Sd.
