Know all men by these presents that I Benjamin Yardley am held & firmly bound unto James Reeves in the Penal Sum of Five hundred Dollars for the payment of which will & truly to be made I bind myself my heirs Executors & administrators firmly by these presents as witness my hand and Seal the 22d day of August 1799 - The Condition of the above obligation is Such that if the above bound Benjamin Yardley his heirs Extrs. Administrators & assigns Shall well & truly make a course to be made unto the Said James Reeves his heirs Executors administrators or assigns a Lawful title in fee Simple to the following Tracts of land Situate in the County of Buncombe and State of North Carolina (to wit) one Tract one hundred & fifty Acres Situate on Sandy Mush Creek of French Broad River known by the name of the Mill Shoal Tract it being the — the Land Yardley Bought of Joseph Henry one other tract containing one hundred acres adjoining or nearly adjoining the above Tract on the open Sides on the Said Creek, and four hundred acres in three Surveys lying on both Sides of Sugar Creek of Sandy Mush adjoining to the Mill Shoal Tract as above Containing in the five tracts Six hundred & fifty Acres the Said title to be made & Executed whenever the said Reeves Shall have made the last payment on his Bond given at this date for the above lands then the above obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force & virtueTest John Strother Jurat Benjamin Yardley (Seal)
