THIS INDENTURE made the 2d day of April 1801 Between George Cotter of the County of Woodford & State of Kentucky of The one part & Sally Cotter Daughter of the said George Cotter of the part witnesseth That the said George Cotter in consideration of The sum of five Shillings to him in hand paid & for the natural love & affection to which he has to his said daughter Sally Cotter also That it is plain and (blank in original) That the Two Cows are of a Riddish colour and the other pide or spotted which is now by These presents given & granted to The said Sally Cotter & her Heirs, The said cows & all her increase forever it is also stated That the said Cows was part of the purchase of said Cotters one seventh part of a Tract of Land which he Claim’d as his right by his wife Mary Reaves as heir to Thomas Reaves Deceasd which cows he seized from James Liggett in consequence of a note secured from John Jackson which said note for the two cows on Liggett was assigned over by sd. Jackson to Sally Cotter which said note is now given up to said Liggett & that the Said George has now the sd. Two Cows now in his possession in Trust for The said Sally Cotter who at This Time is an infant under age in witness whereof The said George Cotter hath set his hand and seal the day & year above written.Teste
