United States of America This Indenture made this Sixth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Two Between Peter Reaves of Davidson County and State of Tennessee of the one part and Jesse Pate of the same County of the Other Part Witnesseth that said Peter Reaves for and In consideration of the sum of Two hundred and Eleven Dollars the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath and by these presents doth Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said Jessee Pate his heirs and Assigns forever A Certain Tract or parcel of Land Containing fifty acres situate in Davidson County on the west fork of Mill Creek be the same more or less - Beginning at a Sugartree and White Walnut at Benjamin Adams South Boundary and Runs East with his line one hundred and thirty Eight poles a Beech on Gatlins West Boundary thence South with said line fifty eight poles to Henry Hides North East Corner to sugartree thence West with Hides line one hundred and thirty Eight poles to a Black Gum and Beech thence North to the Beginning with all and singular the Appertainances Whatsoever to the said Tract of land Belonging or Appertaining and the Reversion and Reversions Rents and Issues thereof and all the Estate Right Title Interest property claim and Demand of him the said Peter Reaves his heirs &c of in or to the same and Every part and Parts thereof Either in law or Equity To have and to hold the said fifty acres of land with the appertainances unto the said Jessee Pater his heirs and Assigns forever against the lawfull claim or Demand of all persons whatsoever. The Execution of which Deed of Conveyance as above Recited was in court held for the County of Davidson January Sessions 1803 Acknowledged by the said Peter Reves to be his Act and Deed for the uses and purposes therein contained. (Image cut off)
