Jesse Reves to James Chesher a Deed 100 acres
This Indenture made this the 6th Day of August Ano domoni one thousand Eight Hundred and four Between Jesse Reves and James Chesher both of the County of Ashe and State of North Carolina Witnesseth that he the sd. Jesse for and in consideration of the sum of Eighty pounds to him in hand paid by him the sd James Chesher the Receipt whereof the sd Jesse doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith fully satisfied and paid hath granted Bargained Sold conveyed and confirmed unto the sd. James his Heirs and assigns forever a tract of Land containing one Hundred acres lying in Ashe County on the Waters of Elk Creek Begining at three Gums Hills Corner Runing North Eighty polls to a Spanish oak and Black gum in hills line thence west thirty four polls to a Spanish oak an agried (sic) line thence South Eighty four west, Seventy polls to a Chestnut thence South seven west six polls to a chestnut thence South twenty seven west Eighty polls to a Whiteoak thence South forty one East Sixty polls to a Spanish oak then North seventy six East, one Hundred and four polls to a Spanish oak on his spring branch thence to the first Station Together with Every Right title privile (sic priviledge) and Emolument to the sd. Land belonging or in any wise appertaining and he the sd Jesse Reves doth bind himself his Heirs &c well & truly to warrant and forever Defend the sd. Premises with all the appertainances (sic) to him the sd James Chesher His Heirs and assigns free and clear of all Incumberances (sic)and claims whatsoever in witness whereof he the sd Jesse Reves hath hereunto set his hand and Seal this Day and date above written Signed sealed and Delivered in presents of
