Transcription

This Indenture made this sixth day of Dec One Thousand Eight hundred and four between Sarah Reeves, Elizabeth Reeves, Thomas Reeves, David Wilson, John Surmonis and Joseph Reeves by James Reeves their Attorney in fact of the County of Henry and state of Kentucky of the one part and Barzillia Brown of the County of Shelby and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that’s (sic) the said Sarah Reeves Elizabeth Reeves Thomas Reeves David Wilson John Surmonis and Joseph Reeves by the said James Reeves their Attorney in fact for a Consideration of the sum of Sixty pounds lawful money of the state afd. To them in hand paid the receipt whereof they do hereby Acknowledge gave granted bargained and sold unto the said Barzillia Brown a certain Tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Shelby on the waters of Flat C reek and bounded as follows Towit Beginning in the old line of Thomas Reeves 2000 acres survey at a white Walnut hickory and two sugar trees thence North Two Hundred and one poles to an Ash and sassafras thence West One hundred and fifty nine poles to a white Oak and Elm thence South Two Hundred and one poles to three bucks thence East One hundred and fifty nine poles to the Beginning Containing Two Hundred Acres Together with all and singular the Appurtenances thereunto belonging To Have & To Hold the said Tract of land unto him the said Barzillia Brown his heirs etc forever against the Claim or Claims of all and every person or persons Whatsoever Claiming by from or under them, do and will Warrant and forever defend In Witness Whereof I the said James Reeves Attorney in fact aforesaid have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year aforesaid
