Know all men by these presents that I Asa Reeves of Fleming County and State of Kentucky in consideration of the sum of fifty five pounds lawful money paid me by Benedict Shody of the county and State aforesaid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge do hereby give grant bargain and sell and convey unto the said Benedict Shody his Heirs and assigns forever the following describd Tract of Land Viz Beginning at a Sugartree and poplar William Reeves’s corner thence along William Harpers line to Henry Hidays corner, Thence along Hiday line to a forked dogwood on Charles Whites line thence a Straight line along said Reeves line to the Beginning Containing by estimation Sixty acres be the same more or less lying in the County of Fleming aforesaid.
To have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises privileges, and Appurtenances thereof to him the said Benedict Shoday his Heirs and assigns forever to his and their use and behoof forever and I the said Asa Reeves for myself and my Heirs, Executors and admins. Do Covenant with the said Benedict Shody, his Heirs and assigns that I am Lawfully seized in fee of the premises, that they are free of all encumbrances that I have good right to sell and Convey the same to the said Shody to hold as aforesaid and that I will warrant and defend the same to the said Shody his Heirs and assigns forever against the Law ful claims and demands of all persons In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Seventh day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and five
